Holiday Inn Express Wigan by IHG

Absolutely faultless. Amazing value. Don't know how they do it. Lovely clean, well equipped and spacious room for 3 of us. B&B £97! Breakfast was incredible and staff were fantastic. We booked as we were from out of the area and were watching a show at The Edge venue in Wigan. £9 taxi ride with Uber.

Great hotel. Booked it as a stop off to our onward journey. Good location. Very welcoming staff. Nice clean rooms. Plenty of space in the rooms. Breakfast was good. A little more selection would be good. But for the price paid, this is not a complaint. Hot and cold breakfast available. Rooms are nice a quiet. Blackout curtains kept the room nice and dark. I would book this hotel again!!

Thanks for a great stay! The rooms were clean and comfortable, all staff were lovely and it was £15 overnight to fully charge the electric car. Dawn was particularly fantastic sorting out gluten free rolls, toast, delicious sausages and hash browns for me at breakfast, I’d highly recommend staying here if you have problems with gluten! They also have gluten free cornflakes and the flora spread was vegan, but the only dairy free milk option was soya. They also have a few herbal teas so I felt well catered for! Thanks again!

Perfect for our needs. Despite having accidently booking a twin room the staff happily changed our room to a double room. Not too far from the lift. (I am disabled and find walking quite difficult). Daily room cleaning if wanted or if not just put the tag out on the door saying not necessary. I could complain about the breakfast, but that is only due to personal preference, they can't cater to everyone and I was happy to have what was on offer. The coffee was hot, the juice was cool and refreshing. The cooked breakfast was pretty good too.

Stayed for one night n was welcomed by friendly staff n a lady called dawn was lovely letting me know if I needed anything just to dial reception which due to my EDS was very happy to hear. I enjoyed my breakfast n can say I had a very pleasant experience n look forward to staying again. Thankyou A+++++

Great staff throughout. Enjoyed our dinner in the hotel. Thought the staff were brilliant and very friendly. Found the beds to be comfortable and the rooms clean. Would definitely stop again. Stopped and out son was playing football in Wigan.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice of hot and cold food for breakfast. Room was of a good size carpet had a few marks on, bathroom window had privacy glass although would have liked a blind on so could close at night. Overall great value. Will be staying here again.

Very pleasantly surprised how good, our last minute stop, after 5hrs of driving and another 5 hours to go, at this hotel was. Ample free parking. Super clean and very well maintained hotel throughout. One person at reception dealing with a guest but instantly upon our arrival another arrived to deal with us. The spacious, comfortable room was well arranged. The bathroom large and again in perfect condition. The only downside is the bed was only okay comfortable, 3 out of 5. The pillows the same. It was all super quiet. Breakfast could be improved upon. No mushrooms, no black pudding and soggy, soft hash browns. Would I return though, absolutely no question about it, at these Sunday, off season rates. Seriously consider at other times of the year. Excellent value for money.
